If you or your child is facing difficulty within school or home life, it may be beneficial to talk to a Parenting Consultant professional, such as Colette, or a member of our team.
Colette possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience with children of varying ages. As a qualified counsellor working within private practice since 2010, Colette is trained to understand a child’s developmental needs and behavioural traits, including challenging behaviours, trauma, loss and grief, anger and bullying.
Child Behaviour Solutions provides confidential and direct support for children ages of seven to sixteen. We offer various, age appropriate counselling formats to ensure your child feels comfortable and able to communicate at a level they understand.
Initially, we will meet with you as a parent (with your child if appropriate) to glean as much information as possible about your child’s background, believed needs and issues they may currently be facing. We then work directly with your child to discuss their issues and overcome them with sensitivity and support.
We usually recommend children ages seven to eleven attends thirty minute sessions, whilst children ages twelve and over are offered fifty minute sessions. We suggest a minimum of six sessions, however this will be reviewed during your child’s fifth session.
Please note, your child’s sessions are highly confidential and any details provided by your child in conversation will not be shared with parents (except for safeguarding issues affecting your child’s safety). Please contact us for further information.
Colette Etheridge has over ten years’ experience as a parenting practitioner and a qualified counsellor in general practice, working with individual adults, children ages ten and over, and their families.
Colette is passionate about helping you through any confusion, anxiety or trauma you may be facing, your breakthrough is just as rewarding to her as it is to you.
